Super-deformed Spider-Man 3 toys at Burger King
Clarence felt like having Burger King today, so we all went over there for lunch. Starting yesterday, they have this Spider-Man 3 promo where some foods have pulltabs (like the Monopoly promo at McDs) where you can win free stuff, and the Kid’s Meal toys are super-deformed Spider-Man 3 movie (yes, the PG-13 one) characters. They’re only 99 cents (at least at the BK we went to). The ones they have available this week are Two Suits of Spidey (which I got) and Spin ‘n Roll Sandman. The Spidey I got changes colors when you put it in cold water. (I currently have a mug of cold water in the fridge for whenever Spider is ready for his “bath”.) The other one looked ugly at first, because the register lady only showed us the Sandman dude. Apparently he’s actually a spinning top, and he comes with his own truck! Ah, well. Spidey is way cuter.
I think out of the ones that are left, I really want to get the black Spidey hanging upside down and the Venom with the movable jaw. Isn’t that SD Venom so cute?? He’s called “Menacing Venom”, I guess because he “rages with chomping jaw and thrashing arms!” To me, it just looks like he’s pounding his fists, having a hissy fit like a child. So cute.
I think the lamest two have to be Fury Fists Sandman (“make Sandman swing his fits up and down in rage.”) and Mask of Spiderman (you can unmask him to reveal… Tobey Maguire…).

New thing I learned today: Venom is actually a composite of two things: Eddie Brock and his sentient symbiotic suit. (My comic-book-ignorance made me think it was just Eddie.) Thank you Andrew and Bobby for this newfound knowledge.
